More perennials from M'finda Kalunga

Most people will recognize Stargazer lilies (Lilium orientalis 'Stargazer') from the local florist, but they do well in the garden, too:

If you have these in a vase at home, pluck off the orange stamens as the orange pollen will stain clothes , tablecloths, etc..

Bee balm, or Monarda didyma:

Garden Phlox, or Phlox paniculata:

Phlox means 'flame' in Greek, ostensibly due to its fiery hues. There are dozens of species of Phlox that are cultivated for ornamental use. P. paniculata is one of the most popular, as well as Phlox subulata, or moss phlox, which grows prostrate in early spring.
